Tuck’s 14th annual Business & Society Conference took the theme of "The New Business Imperative: Meaningful Engagement with Stakeholders"
Issues at the intersection of business & society including economic development, sustainability, health care, education, and human rights are increasingly demanding the attention of a wide variety of stakeholders. More than ever, global challenges and community issues are galvanizing business leaders, and propelling them into dialogue with unlikely partners.
As business leaders, we must consider and collaborate with stakeholders in everything we do. Under the changing social contract, no business can operate successfully unless its leaders engage well with key stakeholders and have a plan for what to do when interests collide.
The 2016 BSC examined how organizations interact with stakeholders across sectors, and how business leaders bring everyone together to reach meaningful solutions to society’s challenges.
